Assistant/Associate Professor in Geotechnical Engineering

Position Description

The successful candidate should have a strong background in Geotechnical Engineering with some expertise in Environmental Engineering. The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, direct undergraduate and graduate student research and develop externally funded research in the area of specialization. Additional responsibilities will include advising students, enhancing laboratory facilities.  
A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering or related field are required along with the potential to become a registered professional engineer within a reasonable time frame. A proven record of effective teaching ability at the undergraduate and graduate levels, familiarity with various learning styles and ability to adjust teaching to accommodate various learning styles. Strong potential for developing funded research are needed for consideration at the associate level. Candidates with new Ph.D. are encouraged to apply for consideration at the assistant professor level.
