The Center for Nonprofit Management is a nonprofit organization committed to helping nonprofits enhance their results by providing educational services, consultation, and information. Our vision is to be a center for the pursuit of excellence in nonprofit management where knowledge is translated into action.

We were created in 1986 from the vision of The Frist Foundation and United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to create a place where the efficiency and effectiveness of nonprofits could improve.

CNM has touched an estimated 22,000 people since it began its work in 1987 by providing educational services, consultation, and information on a wide variety of nonprofit management issues to nonprofits across the state of Tennessee, especially in the Middle Tennessee region.
